1. Call to Order
Chairman Ray Collins called the regular meeting of the Old Saybrook Harbor Management Commission to order at 7:50 p.m.

Citizens with business before the Commission
Richard Metsack spoke on his behalf with respect to his slip application for Ferry Dock. The Commission asked Mr. Metsack to give them a week to review his application.
Minutes of previous meeting 4/10/06
MOTION- DICK GODUTI MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF 4/10/06, GINA STILLMAN SECONDED:

5. Harbor Management Plan

6. North Cove
Clothesline cleanup day Saturday 10-2, a dumpster will be delivered. The clerk will contact Mr. Welsh, President of the North Cove Historic Commission.
7. Ferry Road Dock
Update – Ferry Road Project – Chairman Collins will speak with the First Selectman and send a letter asking to begin repairs at Ferry Road Dock and will also send a letter requesting fees to be put on agenda for next town meeting.
STEAP grant update - none
Harbor Master Report - none
9. Dock Master Report -
All the moorings are in except for Charles Snow and Brendan Montano
Those two individuals will be requested to pay $ 75.00 each for not having their moorings ready to go in as per the policy on the back of their contract.
Jim needs to hire a plumber to do some repair at Sheffield Street.
The concrete sides of the ramp are washing out. Ray will check with Mr. Pace to see if the Town Crew can examine the situation and determine if it can be repaired and if they have the time.
Jim Mitchell drafted a plan for the clothesline marina which included 3-4 pilings per 100 feet, 25 foot long piling, the charge would be $ 300 per hour or by contract – this discussion will be placed on agenda for the next meeting
Holding tank cover is missing, Jim will research who manufactured it and if we can replace the cover.
Correspondence
A copy of the most recent COP for the Manafort dock was received.

MOTION - DICK GODUTI MOVED THAT THE DRAFT BE SENT TO THE TOWN ATTORNEY BECAUSE IT WILL STILL HAVE TO GO TO TOWN MEETING; SEND IT WITH EXPLICIT DIRECTIONS; DO NOT WRITE OUR PLAN, TAKE OUT WHAT YOU DO NOT THINK BELONGS THERE BUT IS POLICY; THEN THE HMC WILL TAKE IT TO TOWN INFORMATIONAL MEETING; THEN DEP AND THEN TOWN MEETING GINA STILLMAN SECONDED

Gina Stillman will be the liaison with Attorney Cronin. She will draft letter and hand deliver.
